claire & abbies story
Hi, I'm Claire! With over 25 years of experience in the beauty industry, I took a leap of faith in 2020 and opened my own home salon, The Browhouse - and I haven't looked back since.
After four amazing years, life took us on a new adventure as my family and I relocated to America for my husband's job. In March 2025, we returned to the UK - and with that, a brand new chapter began!
Now, The Browhouse at The Shires has been brought to life alongside my lovely co-owner, Abbie. Together, we've created a space we're incredibly proud of, and we can't wait to welcome you in.

Hi, I’m Abbie. I initially trained in hairdressing and beauty treatments, and enjoyed working in this industry for a number of years. However, I later had a career change and spent 10 years working within children’s homes and as a registered social worker. This was a truly valuable and rewarding career and made me who I am today.
However, in 2024 I retrained with Nouveau lashes and HD Brows and returned to the beauty industry and it’s the best decision I ever made! I also decided to incorporate my passion of jewellery making and trained in permanent welded jewellery. I LOVE making bespoke jewellery within The Browhouse, hosting small groups and attending events such as festivals and weddings.
